Where to stay?
At our language school, we offer two great accommodation options to suit your preferences. If you value your independence, you might enjoy private self-catering accommodations, such as hotel rooms, B&Bs, or cottages. If you’re looking for a more immersive experience, staying with a host family could be the perfect choice. This option allows you to practice your language skills in a friendly home environment while experiencing the local culture firsthand.

Private Accommodation:
There is also a wide range of self-catering accommodation in St. Agnes including small cottages, chalets, and large houses. We can help you find the right accommodation if you would rather stay in a rented private house or room. We recommend taking a look at the following website for more information.
With a host family:
Staying with a family is a great way to immerse yourself in the English language and a great way to explore English (and Cornish!) culture.
Our hosts are friendly and welcoming. They will provide you with a change of bed linen and towels each week and a weekly laundry service. Breakfast is usually a ‘help yourself’ meal. In the evening, your hosts will provide you with an evening meal at a time of their choosing. If you decide to have a meal elsewhere, please let your host know. Most homestay accommodations are within walking distance of our classroom.
Our hosts often welcome guests as part of their daily lives—sharing stories, introducing them to their favorite local spots, and engaging in conversation. At the same time, they respect each guest’s preferences, ensuring a comfortable balance between connection and personal space.

St Agnes is a picturesque traditional Cornish village. Whilst it is not a busy metropolitan centre, hotels, self catering, and Bed and Breakfasts are in demand, especially during the summer months. Our advice is to book quickly to secure your accommodation.
FAQ’s:
I’m vegetarian/ vegan / have food tolerances.
Many of our Skool Cornwall hosts are vegetarian or vegan themselves, so catering to dietary preferences is not a problem. Shops and supermarkets in the area also offer a wide range of options for different dietary needs.
I enjoy socialising but also value my personal space. What type of accommodation to you recommend for me?
We offer a variety of accommodation options, from hotels to Airbnb’s to staying with a host family. Crucially, we encourage you to choose what will work for you. If you are independent, and you want to relax privately, and occasionally meet up with your fellow students, we recommend private accommodation – a cottage, apartment, or B&B in St Agnes. We can recommend a variety of these types of accommodation. If you are particularly interested in practising your English in the evening – we recommend staying with a host family. You’ll be part of their daily life, often sharing meals and getting the chance to practice your English, while also sometimes being taken on trips to explore Cornwall’s hidden gems.
